CREATIVE PROCESS

JFayeSF Pottery is a local business based in Berkeley, California. The owner and artist Jessica Cross commissioned me to design a logo for her that she could use on social media platforms, her Etsy shop, and pottery stamps. We began the process with a consultation where I learned that she has a love for thistles, artichokes and organic shapes. Together we collected inspiration photos and I sketched a few designs that matched her aesthetic. After talking over the designs we landed on a thistle that was then simplified through a series of edits to the final design above. The logo is representative of JFayeSF’s organic pottery that mimics nature’s elements and is now being used as Jessica’s main branding across her platforms. To view JFayeSF pottery click here!
